The tradition of golf in the Czech Republic has been successfully developing since the early 20th century. Among the most attractive there are extensive grass courses in Karlstejn, Konopiste, Silherovice and Cihelny near Karlovy Vary. The golf course in Mariánské Lázne is placed in an attractive spa environment with magnificent natural sceneries. Edward VII, the King of England originated it in 1905. The golf area in Karlovy Vary has got the oldest golf club in the Czech republic. Golf resorts can be found all over the whole country, always sensitively placed in undulating forest terrains with panoramic views in river valleys or in the romantic environment of parks.

Karlovy Vary
The club was established in 1904 and is the oldest golf club in the Czech
Republic. The original course lay on the banks of the river Tepla in Geyser
Park. Now the golf club is based at the Karlovy Vary course, Olsova Vrata. The
golf course was projected in 1931 by the architect Noskowski and constructed in
1932. The course has been leased long–term to Golf Resort Karlovy Vary, and
changes are being prepared that should significantly improve the quality of
play. Above all, a new clubhouse and a new irrigation system will be built. All
this should allow world–class events to be held here. Length: men white

Karlstejn
The Karlstejn golf course is 30 km from Prague. The golf course was
established in 1992 and the golf course was opened in 1993. The course as
designed by Canadian duo Les Furber and Jim Eremko. Thanks to their careful
approach in setting the golf course amid beautiful scenery with the majestic
Karlstejn, castle of the Czech kings, forming a romantic backdrop, the designers
have created a unique course. The wooded hilly landscape with the limestone
outcrops, and rich flora and fauna is an oasis of quiet and yet is only a few
minutes drive from central Prague. The broken terrain, natural gorges two lakes
and many sandpits create a pleasant environment that will satisfy even the most
demanding players. The architects designed the course "easy bogie" but
"difficult birdie" with the result that the players with the very different
handicaps can both play on it. Length: men white 6361 m, yellow 5880 m.

Marianske Lazne
The oldest golf course on Czech soil was inaugurated by Kind Edward VII. of
Great Britain on 28.08.1905. The course is owned by the town and leased
long–term to the golf club, which has restored the clubhouse preserving the
original romantic era design features. The standard of the course is
demonstrated by the PGA Volvo Tour held on it every year, in which top world
players take part. Length: men white 6195 m, yellow 6040 m, women blue

Ostrava
The club was founded at the same time as the course, which was projected by Jan
Cieslar in 1968. Part founded by NHKG Ostrava, the officially opened in 1970.
The golf course is dominated by the Rothschild castle and set it in its grounds
which feature many rare old trees brought to the park from all corners of the
world. Length: men white 5809 m, yellow 5713 m, women red 5034 m. Par:

Podebrady
The Podebrady golf club was established in 1961. The course in this spa town on
the river Labe was projected by architects B. Wagner and K. Havelka. An
interesting feature are the many natural water obstacles. Length: men
