We can offer the chance to experience the best
hunting and coursing in a wonderful countryside of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia
under the assistance of an experienced hunting guard and interpreter. A shooting
licence and liability insurance is provided. In accordance with your wishes we
will organise individual hunts on roe deer, red deer, fallow deer, chamois,
moufflon, wild boar, wild turkey and king pheasant. We can also organise driven
hunts on wild boar for groups or driven hunts on small game, pheasant, hare,
rabbit, wild duck. All hunts we offer are in free hunting district. You can buy
the hunted game for favourable prices. We provide boarding and accommodation
(full pension) directly in the hunting area in a hunting bungalow or in a
nearest hotel or a boarding house.
Hunting
Old chronicles contain records saying that the area which is now the Czech Republic always contained plenty of game. The rulers, nobles, and their retinues had hunting at the very centre of their interests. Count Boleslav I issued the first regulation concerning hunting already around the year 950 AD. The popularity of hunting did not decline over the centuries. Rather, it was cultivated and spread to the unprivileged classes of the population. With this trend a tradition of breeding and game and nature conservation evolved. The architecture of hunting castles, chateau’s, and even ordinary lodges, collections with hunting themes (e.g. Lednice, Usov, Konopiste, Hluboka, Bitov, Opocno), music for hunting horns, many traditions and customs connected with hunting and membership in hunting societies all became a part of the establishment of hunting as a social occasion. Hunting served as and important inspiration for literature and art. Today, hunting is a hobby for many inhabitants of Czech Republic. The Czech–Moravian Hunting Union has approximately 112 000 member, who apart from hunting engage in game breeding and conservancy. Rich Czech and Moravian hunting preserves with their teeming game are also open to foreign visitors. Probably the most popular are autumn pheasant hunting and morning and evening duck hunting. The visiting hunter can enjoy a morning or evening silent beat – stealing up to the game using wind and natural cover – or he can sit patiently on a shooting stand and wait for the trophy of his lifetime. Angling
Fishing, like hunting, has a rich tradition in the Czech lands. Fish sources are
not only running waters, but also numerous pond systems, which have been created
mainly in southern Bohemia, southern Moravia, in Silesia and even in the
Czech–Moravian highlands over the centuries. The great diversity and number of
fish in the ponds, dams, rivers and streams is ensured by numerous fish
nurseries. Of the approximately fifty species of fish living in the Czech and
Moravian waters. There are basically two types of angling areas: trout waters,
where salmon fish species can be caught (brown trout, rainbow trout and
grayling), and non-trout waters, where predatory fish and non-predatory fish
(such as carp) can be caught. More information about other fish species and

Angling Permits
Angling permits are issued by the organizations entrusted with the
administration of a certain water area, after the presentation of the state
angling licence. The licence can be valid for a specific angling area, region or
for several localities together. The permit can be obtained for one, two, seven
or fourteen days, one month, six months and one year. The state angling licence
for one to two days, for a period shorter than one year, for a period of one
year and a single use licence for the young people under 15 years can be
purchased on the presentation of the passport in the local, municipal or
district councils.
Favoured territories for trout fishing
The Vltava River near Ceské Budejovice, the Otava near Susice, the Lipno dam
reservoir, the Strela, the Jizera near Harrachov, the Kamenice near Decín, the
upper stream of the Orlice and the Morava.
Non-trout fishing territories
The Orlík and the Lipno valley reservoirs, the Hnevkovická reservoir, the Labe
River near the state border, the Musovské reservoirs, Slezská Harta, Nechranice,
Skalka near Cheb and Hracholusky.
Angling season
In the trout territories one can fish since April 16 till the end of November.
Non-trout waters are protected from March 18 till June 14. In case that the
non-trout waters are enclosed (such as valley reservoirs, lakes, river branches,
pools and fish ponds), the period of protection is shortened till April 30. In
some selected non-trout territories angling is permitted all-year-round.
Predatory fish in non-trout waters can be fished from June 15 till the end of
the year.
