Shopping in Prague
Prague’s shopping possibilities are on a level equivalent to anywhere in Europe,
yet at the same time causing relatively little financial pain. Shopping avenues
such as Na Příkope and Parízská offer boutiques stocking international brands.
Modern shopping centres can be found both within the city (Flora, Andel), as
well as its outer suburbs (Zlicín, Cerný Most, Chodov, Letnany). All of these
are easily reached by metro. Nearly all larger shops and shopping centres have
children’s corners, where impatient offspring can play while you look
undisturbed for their presents.

Christmas Markets
What better way to pick up Christmas presents such as Czech glass, wooden toys,
candles etc than at the festive Christmas Markets. During those cold December
days outdoor Christmas shopping is made so much easier with a cup of mulled wine
in your hand.
The Prague Christmas Markets are all located in the centre, Wenceslas Square,
the Old Town Square, Namesti Republiky and Havelske Trzriste open their markets
on the 25th November and most run until 06th January.
There is something for everyone, at the Old Town Square there is a mini zoo,
pony rides etc for children. Carol singers put everyone in the festive mood and
the sight of the Christmas tree in the Old Town is spectacular.
