Experience the first form of flight that dates to
1783 in Paris, France. Float on gentle air currents beneath the colourful canopy
of a hot air balloon. Experience magnificent views of the Prague and its
surrounding and the feeling of escape and freedom that only a balloon ride can
give. Join us for a unique and unforgettable good time. Hot air balloon rides
are spectacular and extremely smooth. The sensation of lift–off is like the
ground dropping away at your feet, and if you carried a candle aloft it would
not flicker. There is no need to worry about motion sickness, because there is
no sense of motion like in a plane or a boat on water. Your balloon offers
unobstructed 360–degree views of our spectacular scenery. The average flight
covers 10 miles and lasts about 1 hour.
Meeting Point and Transportation
We will pick up you for free in your hotel. We have enough room in our chase
vehicles to transport our crew and passengers. Family members and friends are
welcome to come and watch the festivities, but they must provide their own
transportation. You will meet pilot and his colleagues and will have a welcome
drink.
Time
Due to climate conditions, we can safely fly only in the early morning hours or
late in the afternoon. Our launch times vary through the seasons – call ahead
for exact meeting time. High winds, rain or falling snow prevent us from flying.
Please call us the evening prior to your scheduled flight for current weather
conditions. Should your scheduled flight be cancelled due to inclement weather,
we will reschedule your flight for the
next available flight date. The wind speed and direction determines our flight
path and destination. The average flight covers 10 miles and lasts about 1 hour.
What do I wear and bring
The temperature up is the same as on the ground, no need to over–dress. Wear
casual clothes, the kind you might wear on a hike or working around your yard.
We recommend close–toed flat shoes (sneakers), or boots, and waterproof footwear
for morning flights–fields can be wet with dew. Bring plenty of film for your
camera. Don't wear dresses, shorts, sandals or heels. Space is limited, so limit
what you bring.
Participation
We encourage our passengers to participate in both the inflation and deflation
of the balloon. We have found it adds greatly to the fun of the entire
ballooning experience. Maximum capacity of balloon is 4–5 passengers.
Pilots and Insurance
All of our pilots are certified commercial hot air balloon pilots and flight
instructors with perfect safety records. Although we are fully insured, a signed
waiver is required from each passenger to fulfill our insurance requirements.
Balloon Ride
In addition to your flight, you will have the opportunity to participate "hands
on" as a ground crew member – not required. Or if you chose, you can just stand
back and enjoy the process of making ready–inflating the gentle giant, your hot
air balloon. Complimentary refreshments and a champagne toast are offered up in
the balloon during the flight. We fly usually 300 m above the land, but you can
also choose the altitude, which is the best for you. When a balloon lands it is
normal to experience a bump or series of bumps when the balloon basket touches
the ground. How bumpy the landing will get depends on the wind speed. Wind
speeds are usually less than 10 MPH. Upon returning to the launch site, each
passenger will receive complimentary sparkling wine (adults only) and
personalized flight certificate.
Children and Seniors
Our flight is not recommended for children under 10, adults approaching 80,
pregnant women, individuals with osteoporosis, head, back and leg injuries.
Passengers stand during the flight and some agility to get in and out of the
balloon basket is helpful.
Price
4500,– CZK per person and flight (max. 5 passengers), or 18 000,– CZK per
balloon and flight (min. 1 hour). Price includes transfer from and to airport,
welcome drink, refreshment, flight certificate and insurance.
